The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in the UK on 25 May 2018.
While the scope of GDPR is similar to the Data Protection Act 1998, it carries with it greater rights for individuals and broader, more prescriptive obligations for businesses. Penalties for non-compliance increase significantly from £0.5 million to a maximum of €20 million or 4% of annual worldwide turnover, whichever is greater.
In this seminar we will help businesses to understand their new obligations and how they apply to your business. We will also look at how to plan and prepare for the GDPR.
